Business Plus to Publish 'Don't Tell Me It Can't Be Done' by David Neeleman, Founder and Chairman, JetBlue Airways

Dec. 3, 2007

NEW YORK, Dec. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Business Plus, an imprint of Grand Central Publishing (Hachette Book Group USA), has announced it will publish the memoir of David Neeleman, Founder and Chairman, JetBlue Airways. Titled "Don't Tell Me it Can't Be Done," the book will discuss Neeleman's enormous success as an entrepreneur and his rise in the aviation industry. It will also unveil Neeleman's next entrepreneurial venture designed to help break America's dependence on foreign oil. Publication is slated for January 2009 and Neeleman will collaborate with Jeff Benedict , an award-winning investigative journalist and the best-selling author of seven books.

"For years I resisted offers to write a book. I've spent my career in aviation and transportation, creating companies and finding affordable solutions to complex problems; not talking about it," Neeleman said. "But I'm stepping up now because my experience in the airline industry has given me a first-hand look at America's biggest national security threat - dependence on foreign oil. We have the natural resources to solve the problem. But it will take a bold, innovative business plan. "Don't Tell Me it Can't Be Done" doesn't just tell my story as an entrepreneur - from launching JetBlue to creating ticketless travel and live television on airplanes - it will map out my plan to make America energy independent at a cost far below what we pay today."

In making the announcement, Rick Wolff , Vice President, Executive Editor, Grand Central Publishing and Editorial Director of Business Plus said, "David Neeleman's entrepreneurial genius with JetBlue is one of the great success stories of our time, and his vision for how we can help solve our energy crisis will make Americans everywhere sit up and take notice. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with David on his remarkable story."
