Midwest Airlines Announces Addition Of 2 More Planes

May 22, 2009

MILWAUKEE --

Midwest Airlines announced the addition of two new planes to its fleet on Thursday afternoon.

The Embraer 190AR jets will be operated by Midwest's regional partner, Republic Airlines, but will carry Midwest's name.

"What this does is really provide us with some flexibility to look again at flying nonstop from Milwaukee to the west coast and adding routes and adding cities and that's obviously something we haven't had for awhile," Midwest Airlines spokesman Mike Brophy said.

The new service will be up in August or September.

Routes and schedules are still being worked out.
