POSITION SUMMARY

Manages the activities of the Sales and Marketing function and department personnel

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of effective industry specific business development strategies and policies
  • Researches, recommends and oversees the development of potential revenue opportunities and other strategic business alliances
  • Ensures that business and marketing plans, goals, and policies are consistent with established company-wide goals
  • Researches and analyzes environmental and competitive conditions, customer needs, and market trends
  • Designs strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and ensures that strategic plans complement market place needs
  • Leverages current alliances and customer relationships to further expand business development opportunities at all levels
  • Maintains a current knowledge of industry trends, opportunities, channels and competitors to support business development opportunities
  • Documents and reports economic, technological, and competitive factors which may impact business opportunities
  • Supports transition of awarded contracts from Business Development to Operations as required
  • Performs additional duties/assignments as may be required by management.
  • Effectively leads business development personnel to develop and execute business winning activities
  • Achieves sales and business development goals in highly technical, complex and relationship-driven sales environment; successfully manages multiple sales opportunities simultaneously
  • Fosters business growth by utilizing knowledge of company products, services, processes, and operations to create strategy and tactics that promote company solutions.
  • Networks with industry leaders to build relationships which facilitate expanded sales opportunities; interfaces with customers, industry partners, and internal company resources

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software (Onvia)

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Minimum five (5) years sales and marketing experience within permanent airport facility equipment Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services  industry with a proven track record of achieving sales and business development goals
  • Minimum two (2) years of Onvia utilization
