Only halfway through 2005, we have our sights set on 2006 and our focus on “The Perfect 10” reasons to be a part of Ground Support Magazine.

Though I’m only going to reveal three of the Perfect 10 reasons in this issue (don’t you just love suspense?) … one of the three is most definitely the top. YOU, our readers, who come from all over the world in all aspects of the industry, including airlines, cargo, ground handlers, FBOs, airports, military, suppliers, manufacturers and associations; are one of the top 10 reasons. You are holding the second reason in your hands. The 2005–2006 Worldwide Directory. The only comprehensive tool for locating and identifying resources, products and services, the directory is referenced throughout the year by at least 60 percent of you.

AVIATION INDUSTRY EXPO

I thought that halfway through the year would also be a perfect time to plant the seed of excitement about our Aviation Industry Expo, March 28–30, 2006, by giving you the show’s very own PERFECT 10s.

AIE is the ONLY:

  1. longest running GSE Expo in the US
  2. largest ground support event
  3. unmatchable resource
  4. location you will meet in excess of 90 percent of suppliers
  5. show that brings in all of the military
  6. expo with top-notch educational seminars
  7. show that provides you with new and timely products
  8. place you will find the winner of the Ground Support Leader of the Year Award
  9. show with attendees from both commercial and general aviation
  10. event sponsored by Ground Support Magazine

NEW!

Finally, our goal is to always provide you with pertinent and timely information about the global aviation ground support industry as well as to encourage and maintain comprehensive communication with our industry partners. That said, I am excited to tell you about a new guest column appearing in our September issue titled “Industry Intelligence,” the purpose of which is to bring you current topics and up-to-date information from industry associations throughout the year. The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) has offered to be our first guest and will discuss their Charter Safety Initiative. We hope this column will further our goal.

As always, thanks for reading!
