Hadco Engineering announces steering axle undercarriages varying in payloads from 3,000 lbs., Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) up to 30,000 lbs. and more.

The company's type “L” will carry up to 4,000 lbs. per axle, typically used and designed for slow speed and utilized largely for interplant or low speed runway type use.

If heavier duty is needed, Hadco’s Type “H” will carry anywhere from 3,000 lbs. to 12,000 lbs. per axle and is well engineered for heavy duty rough terrain, suited for all speeds, both on and off highway, on smooth, rough and extremely rough terrain, such as for military or heavy commercial type use.

Hadco also offers their type “D” undercarriage, which is designed for even heavier loads in rugged service and off highway use. It can be used at all speeds, on smooth and extremely rough terrain. Capacity can range from 15,000 lbs. per axle to 18,000 lbs. per axle.

One of Hadco's specialties are undercarriages for tram use where trailing trams must track, utilizing both front and rear steer axles attached by a draglink. Typically, these types are heavy duty in the 30,000-lb. capacity range.

Also furnished by Hadco Engineering, are the undercarriages for JBT’s (John Bean Tech., Corp.) “Helio” and “HPCX” heavy duty undercarriages. The HELIO is a military ECS (Bleed) air and compressed carts which the military tests the aircrafts environmental bleed air system. JBT’s “HPCX” unit is a high pressure preconditioned air and 400 Hz combo card, which provides preconditioned air and power to military aircraft while on the ground during maintenance.

Hadco’s customers are diverse, such as the military, aerospace, commercial and many more since 1945.
