FAA Posts Notice Regarding Fuel Contamination

The FAA posted a special notice Thursday, Nov. 30, announcing an investigation into a fuel contamination problem.

The notice indicates there is "substantial evidence" that the contamination in question is isolated to general aviation and military aircraft at Eppley Airfield in Omaha, Neb., during the time period of Nov. 18-20, 2017.

"FAA recommends that all aircraft operators check NOTAMs frequently for possible changes to this ongoing situation," the notice reads. "For further information contact Flight Standards Air Transportation Division at 202-267-8166."
