The Air Cargo Sustainability Awards from The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) and CHAMP Cargosystems recognize businesses and industry initiatives seeking to make air cargo more sustainable. For the fifth edition of the awards, two categories were judged: Start-Up/Small Business, and Corporate and established businesses. A jury selected the overall corporate winner as well as the three Start-Up/Small Business category finalists.
The winner in the corporate category is LATAM Cargo for its Necessary Destination program, a comprehensive and robust compendium of initiatives to drive sustainable development in South America. The program has pillars: Climate Change, Circular Economy and Shared Value.
The Start-Up and Small Business category recognizes and encourages young growing businesses as well as small businesses building their presence in the air cargo industry and contributing to its sustainability transformation. The jury selected three organizations as finalists in this category and each presented their initiative during the Executive Summit, where the live audience selected the ultimate winner.
Regent Craft won the Start-up/Small Business award for the 2023 edition of the Sustainability Awards and will receive a cash prize of $10,000. Regent Craft unlocked emission-free cargo transportation between coastal cities using sea gliders
Pledge and VRR Collapsible are 2023 Sustainability Awards runners-up and will receive $2,500 each. Pledge was selected for its Freight Emissions Calculation and Offsetting tools while VRR Collapsible was recognized for addressing the global ULD imbalance.
Five industry leaders and sustainability champions evaluated the submissions on a number of criteria, including impact on society and industry, ease of implementation, innovation and wow factor.

The official awards ceremony was held during the Executive Summit 2023 in Brussels, Belgium.
