A dedication held Saturday in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, culminated in the annual Heroes Walk, raising money for the Friends of Flight 93 organization.
The event is in honor of the 40 passengers and crew members who died abord Flight 93 in 2001 during the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11.
Among those aboard Flight 93 was Andrew "Sonny" Garcia, our colleague in the ground support industry.
Garcia was owner and president of Cinco Group when he lost his life, and previously held other positions within the ground support industry as well as serving as an air traffic controller with the California Air National Guard.
The team at AviationPros and Ground Support Worldwide wish his family comfort, and we remember all who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001.
