Allegiant Launches New Routes from Newark

Allegiant on June 2, launches a new route from Newark, New Jersey to Destin / Fort Walton Beach, Florida, just in time for the summer travel season.

“We are very pleased to offer travelers from the Tri-state area a low-cost, nonstop option to conveniently and affordably get away to the Emerald Coast this summer,” said Lukas Johnson, Allegiant senior vice president of commercial. “We look forward to bringing more visitors and economic growth to Destin, as well as connecting Destin travelers to the city that never sleeps.”

The new seasonal route will operate twice weekly between Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS). This route will bring in an additional 8,000 visitors, contributing to the local economy. With this new route, Allegiant will now serve 17 cities to Destin / Fort Walton Beach. Flight days, times and the lowest fares can be found only at Allegiant.com.

“We are excited to have new nonstop service from the New York City area that can get visitors to our beautiful beaches as quickly as possible and to introduce Destin, Ft. Walton Beach and Okaloosa Island to travelers looking for sugar-white sand, emerald green waters and all the amenities our destination is known for.”
