Aviation Workers Issue Strike Notice over Kenya Airways' JKIA Takeover Plan

The looming industrial strike will include ground staff at JKIA, where Kenya Airways has proposed the formation of a subsidiary dedicated to managing operations for a concession period of 30 years.

A workers lobby has issued a strike notice in protest against Kenya Airways' planned takeover of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

Kenya Aviation Workers Union (KAWU) says they will go on strike in the next seven days, saying the planned takeover of JKIA by KQ will render them jobless.
