Talma, a leading company in airport services in Latin America, belonging to the Sandoval Group, has announced it began providing ramp and passenger services for the Canadian airline Air Transat at Jorge Chávez International Airport (AIJCH) from December 2023.
"We are extremely pleased with this announcement. Our strong financial position and track record as leaders in the airport sector, with a track record of excellence in professional practice, were key to winning the RFP with Air Transat, which joins the more than 20 airlines in our Lima portfolio. Our commitment is to provide first-class, safe, fast, and efficient airport services as we are known for," said Arturo Cassinelli, Talma's corporate general manager.
Initially, Air Transat will operate a frequency of three weekly flights to Canada, two to the city of Toronto and one to Montreal. Passengers will take off from Jorge Chavez Airport on their Airbus 321 aircraft.
This commitment to Air Transat is part of Talma's growth strategy, which consolidates it as the main ally for airlines entering the Peruvian market.
The Talma ramp service includes the attention of aircraft on the airport apron from their arrival to their departure. On the other hand, the passenger service consists of comprehensive passenger care at the airport, both at check-in counters and in departure lounges, as well as special assistance to minors, attention to people with reduced mobility, among others.
