AeroGround Secures Deals With Etihad Airways And AirBridgeCargo

Sept. 12, 2014
The agreement with Etihad Airways, which flies from Munich to Abu Dhabi twice a day, covers the range of passenger handling services.

AeroGround, Munich Airport's ground handling subsidiary, has secured a long-term contract for landside and airside passenger and aircraft handling services with the Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways.

A full handling agreement has also been signed with the Russian cargo airline AirBridgeCargo (ABC).

The agreement with Etihad Airways, which flies from Munich to Abu Dhabi twice a day, covers the range of passenger handling services, to be provided by AeroGround affiliate aerogate, and ramp-side aircraft handling through AeroGround.

In addition to aircraft handling by Aeroground, the contract with AirBridgeCargo covers freight handling through Cargogate. ABC operates a weekly service from Moscow to Munich with a Boeing 747F freighter, providing a link to the Asian region for the flow of goods from southern Germany.

"Our obvious strengths are our closely coordinated handling processes and our ability to deliver the full range of handling services. We are proud to have succeeded yet again in signing contracts with highly respected airlines through our central sales function. This success will also inspire us to continue developing and improving our quality and efficiency," said Siegfried Pasler, one of two managing directors of AeroGround, Cargogate and aerogate.
