The Transport Workers Union is threatening to unleash "industrial chaos" through coordinated strikes in pursuit of a bigger share of profits from retailers and airlines while negotiating 200 enterprise agreements set to expire next year.

A union leader poised to unleash industrial mayhem through a co-ordinated strike involving 38,000 workers across airports and the road transport industry has rejected employer claims the action would breach pattern bargaining laws.
