Ground Handling Companies Approved in Malaysia

The Malaysian Aviation Commission (Mavcom) recently approved 30 ground handling companies to service aircraft in Malaysia.

According to a report from the Sun Daily, Mavcom is requiring that all companies have technical approval from the Department of Civil Aviation Malaysia to provide ground handling services, including baggage handling, catering, ramp handling and refueling, among others.

The Sun Daily report also states that anyone operating as a ground handler without the necessary licence from Mavcom is liable to a fine or imprisonment.
