Another year, another preeminent world ranking for American Aero FTW, a fixed-base operator (FBO) serving private aviation travelers at Fort Worth Meacham International Airport. For the fifth consecutive year since opening the doors to its new facility in 2017, American Aero is once again at the top of the list worldwide in the 2022 Aviation International News (AIN) FBO Reader Survey, earning superior marks in all categories. American Aero is also consistently ranked as the No. 1 FBO in Texas and the South-Central Region.

The AIN survey is an annual independent evaluation of FBOs, by more than 4,500 operators worldwide. Results are based on reviews by passengers, pilots, flight crews, and dispatchers who are asked to evaluate pilot amenities, passenger amenities, customer service representatives, line service, and facilities. American Aero is ranked one of the top three FBOs worldwide.

“Remaining on the top of this list year after year is a reflection of our commitment to continually raise the bar for the ground handling industry when it comes to customer service and safety,” said American Aero General Manager Angela Thurmond. “That means building relationships and exceeding expectations. We are always ready to make the impossible happen for our customers.”

For the fifth consecutive year, an American Aero team member was also named in the survey’s “Above and Beyond” category. This is the second recognition for Lindsey Leland, American Aero customer service manager and safety officer. Leland has worked at American Aero since 2015.

“Lindsey is the epitome of the American Aero spirit,” Thurmond said. “She is proactive and personable and consistently performs at the highest level to create a positive experience for our customers.”

American Aero received high marks in the survey for its facility and amenities. The 8,600- square-foot FBO was designed to maximize safety, efficiency, and comfort for flight crews and passengers—from a private crew lounge with en suite shower and a soundproof sleep room to a fully stocked, complimentary refreshment bar. American Aero also leads the industry in ground handling safety, with the longest held and highest industry safety accreditation (International Standard of Business Aviation Handling, or IS-BAH, Stage 3) from the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC).

“Our safety culture is ingrained in our DNA, and we back it up with the most highly trained, motivated-to-excel employees in the industry,” explained American Aero Vice President Bob Agostino, who is best known for creating the Bombardier Safety Standdown. “We continually push the envelope to deliver exceptional ground handling and customer service. That will always set us apart.”
