Hawthorne Global Aviation Services Announces New Board Member Glenn Leonard

Leonard brings with him over four decades experience.

Charleston, SC. April, 16, 2018 --- Hawthorne Global Aviation Services, a premier provider of general aviation services, announced today that Glenn Leonard has been appointed as the newest member of the Board of Directors.

Over his 45-year career in the aviation industry, Leonard has held key positions in commercial, charter, scheduled Part 135 and, for the past 30-years, Part 121 scheduled air carrier operations. He has vast knowledge and understanding of flight, maintenance and engineering operations, which he will bring to his new position.

Most recently, Leonard was the co-founder of CAVOK, a global aviation services and consulting firm, which is now operated by Marsh McClennan as part of Oliver Wyman. During his employment, he was deeply involved with three mega airline mergers that have occurred in the last decade. 

Throughout his career, Leonard has advised clients on the operational and regulatory aspects associated with air carrier maintenance and engineering as well as flight operations. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Aloft AeroArchitects in Georgetown, DE.

Leonard is a licensed pilot holding an Airline Transport Pilot License with several type ratings and approximately 10,000-hours. He graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Business Administration. With their sons now grown, Leonard and his wife divide their time between Port Aransas, TX and Ruidoso, NM.
