VT: Fire at Vermont Air National Guard Hangar Closes Airport

SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) A fire briefly closed the Burlington International Airport early Monday afternoon.

The Vermont Air National Guard says the fire started in its hangar, which under construction to accommodate the F-35 fighter jets set to land there. It's early in the investigation, but Guard officials say they think sparks from welding work ignited the roof.
