Sept. 26, 2016

Volo Aviation LLC, has been awarded a contract to serve as a fixed-base operator (FBO) at the Ogdensburg International Airport.

Citing a press release from the Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority, the Watertown Daily Times reported the fixed-base operations company, based in Stratford, Connecticut, is expected initially to be responsible for ramp operations at the Ogdensburg airport such as fueling, and deicing the aircraft.

In a press release, Volo Aviation Senior Vice President Brian Ciambra said Volo Aviation, which helps manage FBOs at airports in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Florida, North Carolina and New York, has extensive experience managing FBOs and brings a wide range of knowledge regarding today’s aviation market.

“We are confident that we can grow the business at OGS while at the same time enhancing the customer experience,” Mr. Ciambra said.

The airport is in the final stages of a $26 million expansion project that has included lengthening the runway, renovating the passenger terminal and adding a 425-space parking lot.
