Worldwide Airline Info

Nov. 7, 2017

Airline Weekly is a fascinating publication, reporting the facts about airlines all over the world and how they’re doing right now. The current issue explains why, in these good times, people fear the future. It reports results for the first three quarters of this year, showing small drops in the third quarter, then explains factors causing many to fret — perhaps unduly — like fuel prices, union negotiations, natural disasters, the economy, and a myriad of other industry influencers.

Should airport managers/operators subscribe to and read (study) Airline Weekly? Only if the airline industry is important to your airport, I guess.

A crop duster airport, or a beautiful grass strip strictly for recreational flyers, probably doesn’t need this info. An airport that depends on airline traffic probably does.

Besides, it’s fascinating reading.
