HOLLYWOOD, FLORIDA, June 22, 2018 Quiet Technology Aerospace (QTA) has received EASA STC approval for its upgraded carbon fiber Inlet Cowl inner barrels targeting four (4) specific airframes. The QTA replacement barrel offers a terminating solution to the issue of engine inlet cowl inner barrel corrosion impacting operators of Lear 60, Falcon 2000LX, Gulfstream G200 and Challenger 300/350 aircraft.
The EASA approvals offer QTA’s guaranteed permanent corrosion relief to 211 aircraft registered under EASA.

Quiet Technology Aerospace began the inner barrel replacement program under FAA STC approval in 2016, receiving its latest FAA approval in January 2018. To date, QTA has replaced 75 inlet barrels on FAA governed aircraft. There are 1,715 aircraft worldwide that are candidates for the QTA inner barrel program.
Combating an expensive and time consuming problem of aluminum inner-barrel engine inlet corrosion and acoustic screen degradation on the affected aircraft engines’ inlet cowls, QTA now offers EASA operators a lighter weight state-of-the-art Carbon Graphite Composite Barrel that terminates the issue; and comes with a lifetime warranty that remains with the aircraft’s serial number for transferability. When installed, the inlets’ appearance is unchanged from the original.
QTA can provide a complete set of inner barrel upgrades to customers’ inlets between 20-30 days, depending on aircraft model, greatly reducing operator downtime compared to alternative corrosion repairs. Additionally, QTA has a low cost inlet “loaner and exchange program” that keeps aircraft free from extended AOG conditions.
Since the carbon fiber inner barrel replacement program began in 2015, operators of affected aircraft have shown enthusiastic support of QTA’s technology and the manufacturing quality of their product.
Operators are both relieved from the corrosion problem that has plagued their engines’ inlets and impressed with the quality and reasonably priced QTA solution.

QTA is now working to certify additional Inlet Cowl upgrades using the same Carbon Graphite technology that will offer relief and a terminating solution to their corrosion woes for an additional three aircraft types within the next year.
