The AS9100D Certification attained by both APS headquarters in Lake Zurich, Illinois and its Atibaia, Sao Paulo, Brazil facility.

Aircraft Propeller Service, LLC recently received its Certificate of Registration for having its Quality Management System (QMS) meet the compliance requirements of ISO 9001:2015 + AS9100D. The AS9100D Certification, attained by both APS headquarters in Lake Zurich, Illinois and its Atibaia, Sao Paulo, Brazil facility, attests to APS customers and other OEMs that the company has met the aviation, space and defense industry requirements and definitions relating to such areas as: leadership, planning, support, operation, performance evaluation, and improvement. To attain the AS9100D Certification, APS also had to successfully pass a mandatory assessment and facility visits by the certifying body. Covered by the Certification are the full scope of APS’ processes, including maintenance, repair, overhaul, inspection and sales of aircraft propeller systems, as well as its chemical processing, coating, machining, surface enhancement, sealant and non-destructive testing services.

“This is another step in our quality improvement initiative,” stated APS President and CEO Daniel Colbert. “By adhering to our industry’s highest standards in quality management, we are conveying to our clients and other manufacturers our total commitment to high quality services and operations.”

APS originally secured its AS9100 Certification in 2017 because of its proven effectiveness in helping companies deliver better operating performance and profitability, as well as demonstrating to customers an overarching commitment to quality. With more OEMs demanding the certification in their suppliers and business partners, APS saw Certification as necessary tool to remain competitive. This enhanced, higher level of certification further establishes APS at the forefront of quality management and a leader in the Aviation MRO sector.
