LORD Corporation Names Rebecca Williams President of Aerospace & Defense Global Industry Group

(Cary, N.C. - June 15, 2017) - LORD Corporation, a global leader in vibration and motion control technologies, sensing systems, adhesives and coatings, announced that Rebecca (Becky) Williams has been named president of the company's Aerospace & Defense industry group.In this role, Williams will lead the company’s global business serving aerospace and defense customers with an enhanced solutions offer through legacy capabilities and recent acquisitions.  Williams, with significant prior experience in the industry, will focus on forging closer relationships with OEM and tier partners to deliver exceptional value through closer collaboration to meet emerging needs.  Under Williams, the company will also focus on increased operational effectiveness worldwide to align with ever-increasing complexity in the aerospace value chain."Becky has a long and accomplished history with LORD Corporation,” said Ed Auslander, president and CEO of LORD Corporation. “Over the past 38 years, Becky has driven innovation and growth in the areas of engineering, business development, and operations. Under her leadership, the APAC region achieved major new customer wins in commercial aerospace, automotive and industrial customers. Prior, she served as director of global business development and marketing. Williams began her career at LORD in 1979 and has held engineering and management positions in design, manufacturing, and sales and marketing in the company’s aerospace business. Williams holds a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering and a Master of Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University. Williams succeeds Bill Cerami, who will retire at the end of 2017 after a 40-year career at LORD.  Under Cerami's leadership, the LORD Aerospace & Defense business experienced a transformation from a passive component supplier to a mechanical and electro-mechanical systems risk-sharing partner to the key players in the industry. His deep knowledge of customer needs and relentless focus on operational efficiency led to significant growth. "Through Bill’s leadership, we have increased our effectiveness in meeting customer needs, launched several new product platforms that improve the performance of our customers' products, and expanded into new markets," said Auslander.
