WICHITA, Kan., Feb. 12, 2014 – Greenwich AeroGroup announced today that it will merge Matrix Aviation in Wichita, Kan., with its sister company Professional Aviation Associates in Atlanta, Ga., to build a stronger, more efficient business able to meet the growing challenges of a rapidly changing industry while providing wider range of choices for customers.
The newly merged company will be located in a new 46,000 square-foot Distribution Facility close to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The new location will provide employees with modern office and warehouse space and will be equipped to better respond to customer and Aircraft on Ground needs.
“This union will combine the strengths of these two dynamic organizations into a company well positioned to provide customers one point of contact with access to a wider support structure and a broader array of products,” said Greenwich AeroGroup’s Senior Vice President for CR&O and Distribution Dave Miller. “This will also improve our financial strength and flexibility, creating the ability to deliver long-term operating performance and significant synergy opportunities.”
Matrix Aviation is a supplier of avionics, instrumentation, TCAS and radar equipment and Professional Aviation Associates is a supplier of rotables, airframe parts and hoses. Brian Dannewitz, current president of Professional Aviation Associates will serve as president of the newly merged company.
Spring is the targeted date for completion of the merger with the name of the joint company still to be determined.
