Acting Chief Executive Officer of Gulf Air, Capt. Waleed Abdulhameed AlAlawi recently visited Etihad Aviation Training Centre in Abu Dhabi and was given a tour of the facility. Gulf Air is the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

In February, Gulf Air and Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, signed a strategic commercial cooperation agreement to deepen their partnership between Bahrain and Abu Dhabi and beyond the respective hubs. The wide-ranging agreement sets out specific actions for deepening and broadening commercial cooperation, building on the memorandum of understanding that the airlines signed in 2018 during the Bahrain International Airshow. The memorandum also provided for exploration of MRO, pilot and crew training, and cargo opportunities, which the parties will now revisit in light of current market opportunities and company requirements.
