AeroJones Opens Flight School in ZhenJiang, China

Sept. 20, 2019
Operation will use CTLS aircraft and a full-motion simulator.

Already functioning in the new location is a flight school operation at Dalu General Airport near Zhenjiang City. This is an important model for more flight school operations around China as a mission evolves to created many thousands of new pilots for the nation. As in many other countries, a pilot shortage is anticipated. China can become a great source of well-trained and experienced aviators to take the controls of airliners, military aircraft, and business aircraft.

The Zhenjiang flight school makes good use of AeroJones’ 6-axis of motion CTLS simulator, shown for the first time to the public at the Zhuhai airshow in fall of 2018,” said Michael Chou, who handles marketing for the Xiamen company. “The CTLS simulator has dual control sticks and rudders so an instructor can help a student learn the procedures and perform maneuvers.”

“The market is growing for Chinese general aviation,” said Chou. “The combination of new factory, a professional flight school, and the full-motion simulator are strong assets allowing AeroJones to provide the most complete light aircraft operation in China.”

“We have been working closely with CAAC as we prepare to build the new AeroJones Flight School,” said Mr. Hsieh Chi-Tai, general aviation development vice president for AeroJones Aviation Technology Co., Ltd. Mr Hsieh is the principal CAAC liaison for AeroJones. He has developed close relations with personnel at CAAC.
