The global fleet is forecast to grow by between 3% and 5% annually. This means that within just 10 years, the number of aircraft will have increased by half.
The expectations of airlines will increase and they will demand greater aircraft availability and regulators will require ongoing compliance. Legacy systems or in-house solutions may not be fit-for-purpose to manage this growth and the cost of maintaining these systems may be cost prohibitive.
