Global aviation training provider, BAA Training, has doubled its clients’ pool from Asia region during the year 2015. Through successfully expanded training capabilities and solutions more Asian aviation market companies find BAA Training to be a reliable partner.

In 2015 BAA Training added twelve new companies as its clients by providing various aviation training solutions in Asia. Amongst them appear names as Kalstar, Orient Thai Airlines, Indonesia Air Transport, Raya Airways, Gulf Aviation Academy and many more. In addition to that, BAA Training has signed strategic partnership agreement with Haite Aviation Training Singapore which opened training base in Singapore for Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 NG type rating training.

Over four years of working in this region, BAA Training representatives admit, that entering the new region has been challenging yet rewarding. Even though the EASA standard training is very appealing for the operators in Asia, there is still a tendency to put lower price ahead which usually means cutting back on the quality. However, according to Karolis Urbelionis, BAA Training representative in Asia, situation is changing to the positive side. This is especially evident when Asian operators have an opportunity to get high European training standards for a competitive price. “In addition to that, region faces the problem of carrying out the planned training, as there is a shortage for some type of full flight simulator capabilities in the region. Therefore, timely reaction offering EASA training solutions and high customer support services become the driving force allowing to add new clients”, concludes Karolis Urbelionis, Regional Manager for Asia.

“2015 has been an important year as we finalized our transition from the local training provider to the global operator. Doubling number of clients in Asia just in one year, growing number of contacts and partnerships in Africa and Middle East shows that we have definitely outgrew ourselves from Baltic Aviation Academy (former name of the company) to BAA Training”, comments Egle Vaitkeviciute, CEO at BAA Training.
