We would like to extend our invitation to you to join us for 2nd annual Civil Aviation South East Asia Summit (CASEA 2017), scheduled during 27th - 28th September, 2017 in Bangkok, Thailand. CASEA is envisioned to become a must-attend forum for the SE Asia civil aviation community.
Home to more than 600 million people or 9% of the world's population, SE Asia's aviation industry is observing some of the fastest and strongest growth rates. In terms of passenger traffic, according to CAPA, 6 of SE Asia's 10 countries had growth in or near the double digits in 2016 and SE Asia should continue to experience rapid growth in 2017 and beyond, thanks to the rising middle class, favourable fuel price, LCC saturation and liberalization in the aviation sector. However, in the medium-longer term, regulatory barriers, poor airport infrastructure, fleet overcapacity, lack of MRO capabilities and short of human resources still stand in the way to fulfill the potential of the market growth. CASEA is such a platform where these trendy topics will be discussed.
Why Thailand? In February 2017 Thai Ministry of Transportation approved a new 15-year aviation industry development plan intended to further develop Thailand's aerospace sector and strengthen its position as SE Asia's next regional aviation and MRO hub. Aviation companies investing in Thailand, under the plan, will benefit from a host of fiscal and non-fiscal incentives that range from corporate tax exemptions to assistance with work permits and product sourcing. Featured with a site visit to Thai Airways' U-Tapao MRO Unit, CASEA 2017 is an opportune event where interested organizations could explore the opportunities and turn into theirs.
Supported by The Board of Airline Representatives Business Association and Thai Pilots Association, the first 2016 conference on July 27 & 28 was a humble beginning, gathering 126 attendees and six sponsors. With deeper partnerships with the associations, CASEA 2017 boosts to host 200+ decision makers from across the SE Asia airline community as well as representatives from OEMs, MROs, component manufacturers, aviation training schools, training solutions providers, airport equipment providers and leasing companies to join us for this comprehensive aviation show.
We look forward to meeting you in BKK in September!
