FlightSpeak Partners with Lyft

March 8, 2017

On March 7, flightSpeak introduced a national campaign named “Airport Smarter” in an exclusive partnership with rideshare company Lyft. The campaign rewards travelers who share their insights and tips at airports with a month of free rides to the airport.

Airport Smarter is designed to invigorate the enthusiasm and generosity that frequent travelers have at airports, enabling them to gain rewards as they share their insights with other travelers. These shared experiences will enable other passengers have a more efficient, less stressful day of travel, as they lean on the guidance of other experienced travelers.

According to the Global Business Travelers Association (GBTA), in the second quarter of 2016 alone, 129.6 million person-trips were generated in the United States and $70.1 billion was spent on business travel activity. Travel is forecasted to grow by more than six percent, according to the GBTA United States Outlook. This means more people, in more airports, around the country.

“Going through an airport can be an incredibly stressful experience for many travelers.” said Leo Osahor, founder and CEO of flightSpeak. “In reality, it doesn’t have to be. There are more than one million frequent flyers visiting airports each day who pick up insights at every airport they visit. Sharing those tips, photos, and ratings are gestures of generosity that can make the airport experience much easier for all. That’s what Airport Smarter is all about.”

“Ridesharing to airports has grown in popularity among business travelers. Lyft currently serves more than 150 airports in the United States, and we’re delighted to help travelers all around the country kick off a less stressful airport visit with an unmatched Lyft experience,” said Amy Fox, Head of Partnerships at Lyft.

The campaign will run from March 7, through Dec. 31, and rewards the most active flightSpeak users at airports around the country. Points are gained by confirming security wait times, posting helpful airport tips, and rating airport stores and restaurants.
