Christe unveils the JumpStart content management solution targeted at architectural markets, including museums, universities, stadiums, airports, and retail stores needing high resolution and reliable content playback accross large video wall installations.
Christie JumpStart enables users to position and play back a wide range of content, including video, graphics, applications, Blu-ray and DVD movies, remote video sources, color swatches, and text. When used with Christie MicroTiles, JumpStart communiacates directly with the master External Control Unit (ECU), automatically picking the best resolution for the MicroTile canvas, regardless of shape or cabling layout.
Haivision
Haivision announces the integration of its CoolSign digital signage solution with the Intel Audience Impression Metrics Suite to deliver new audience-detection technology. The solution uses sensor technology for video analytics to enable intelligent digital signage that delivers relevant real-time content to the right users at the right time.
X2O Media
The X2O Social Hub is a solution designed to efficiently display content in real-time and broadcast quality from social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. Building on the company's TwitterCube solution, once social media links are entered, screens are updated authomatically with real-time updates. Graphics can be customized by changing logos and other branding elements.

Planar's LCD Video Wall is a flexible video wall solution that can be configured in several ways while appearing nearly seamless. Optimized for uninterrupted 24/7 operation, Clarity Matrix is an ultra-thin bezel LCD video wall system that delivers outstanding visual performance, suppports extended operation, and requires minimal installation space.
The Planar MOSAIC is an architectural video wall system featuring three different LCD display tiles. Tiles can be mounted in any position relative to each other, or individually at almost any angle.
DSE 2012 Sets All-Time Attendance Milestone
Digital Signage Expo (DSE), an international conference and tradeshow dedicated exclusively to digital signage, interactive technology, and digital out-of-home networks (DOOH), announces that its ninth show held in Las Vegas in March officially shattered previous attendance records, according to show officials.
Benchmarks established include:
- 4,024 qualified attendees (excluding exhibitors) – a 9 percent increase over 2011
- Record conference attendance
- Record international attendance from a total of 69 countries
- Record exhibit sales: 62,440 net square feet — a 4 percent increase over 2011
Digital Signage Expo 2013, co-located with the Interactive Technology Expo and Digital Content Show, is scheduled for February 26-28, 2013, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
DSE Award Winners
Digital Signage Expo (DSE) has announces the independently judged winners of its Apex Awards for 2012 at its 3rd Annual Awards Dinner, sponsored this year by the Digital Signage Federation.
More than 200 industry luminaries gathered in a Caesars Palace ballroom on Wednesday evening, March 7, to celebrate the winners of the Gold, Silver and Bronze Apex Awards, presented in 11 categories from a field of 88 entrants representing 18 countries.
In the transportation category, award winners were:
GOLD: Melbourne Airport, nominated by Cisco
SILVER: Port Columbus International Airport, nominated by Columbus Regional Airport Authority
BRONZE: New Mexico Rail Runner Express, nominated by Scala Inc.
