Spokane International Airport is pleased to announce that Kelly Fukai has joined their management team as the Manager of Public and External Affairs. In this position, Kelly will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with local, state and federal government officials, agencies, staff and relevant industry and community groups. She assumed the position on Oct. 1.
Kelly is well versed in building and cultivating relationships with officials at all levels of government as well as in the energy, electrical and electronic manufacturing fields. She has previously worked at Avista, the Pinnacle Marketing Group and most recently, Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories. She also has extensive experience in public affairs, communications, strategic management, analysis and accounting.
Kelly earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Gonzaga University. She is also the current chair of the Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce. Kelly and her family reside in the City of Spokane.
