Sun Country Airlines Begins New Service to Mazatlán, Mexico, from Denver International Airport

Sun Country Airlines will inaugurate new nonstop flights between Denver International Airport (DEN) and Mazatlán, Mexico (MZT) Jan 24.

Sun Country’s new service to Mazatlán will operate once weekly on Wednesdays from Jan. 24 through Mar. 7. Flights are scheduled to depart DEN at noon and arrive in Mazatlán at 2:45 p.m. Return flights depart Mazatlán at 1:20 p.m. and arrive at DEN at 4 p.m. These departure and arrival times change slightly throughout the operating season. The flights operate using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

“Sun Country first initiated service in Denver with flights to Minneapolis in May 2016,” said Patrick Heck, DEN’s chief commercial officer. “We are very pleased to see Sun Country continue to expand its network in Denver with these new flights.”

More than 6,000 passengers travel between Denver and Mazatlán annually, with 42 percent of travel taking place between January and March. With this new service, DEN is connected nonstop with nine destinations in Mexico.
