Experienced People Assume New Roles at Chicago Executive Airport

Aug. 7, 2017

The Chicago Executive Airport Board of Directors announced a number of personnel changes, all designed to keep the airport running at peak efficiency.

First is the appointment of D. Court Harris as Chairman of the Airport Board of Directors. Mr. Harris, a corporate travel executive in Chicago, first joined the board as a working member at the July meeting. Harris, a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, spent six years an active-duty officer with the U.S. Army including a tour in Afghanistan as an American liaison to the NATO airport authority at Heart International airport. His Army service exposed him to airport operations, as well as interactions with other government agencies, vendors, contractors and local airport communities.

The airport’s former chief financial officer Scott Campbell, an airport employee since  February 2014, has been promoted to director of airport operations. In his new position, Campbell oversees both airport finance and field operations. Campbell, a rated private pilot with both land and seaplane experience received his bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University. He also holds a master’s degree in aviation and transportation from Lewis University.

Jason Griffith has been an accountant on the airport staff since January 2012. He was recently promoted to the new role of director of airport finance and will oversee the budgetary process as well as the airport’s comprehensive annual financial report. Griffith graduated from Northeastern Illinois University in 2009.
