San Antonio Airport System Announces New Staff

The San Antonio Airport System announces new hires for its executive team. The following positions are key to the success of meeting the needs of passengers and tenants at San Antonio International and Stinson Municipal Airport, Henrietta Brown, chief aviation administration officer, Karen Ellis, chief customer experience officer and Ryan Rocha, chief of operations.

Brown has oversight of Finance, Properties, Procurement, Information Technology, Administration and Small Business divisions for the San Antonio Airport System. Most recently at the Columbus Regional Airport Authority, Brown served as the director of administration, leading the organizations Audit, Business Diversity, Legal and Office of Contracts & Procurement. Previous to Columbus, Brown was the assistant director of finance & accounting at the Lambert St. Louis International Airport.

Ellis, was selected as chief customer experience officer-a new position to the airport system. She will be responsible for oversight of the Customer Service, Public Relations and Marketing divisions. Karen most recently from the Houston Airport System, which includes George Bush Intercontinental, William O. Hobby and Ellington Airport, where she was director of customer relations. There she oversaw the airport-wide customer service training program and also served as liaison between the traveling public, the city of Houston, the airport-wide community and passengers responses to comments regarding the airports.

Rocha, A.A.E., IAP was promoted to chief of operations for the San Antonio Airport System. He will oversee Operations, Parking, Security, Airport Rescue & Fire Fighting, Police, Emergency Management and AICC. Prior to being assigned as interim chief of operations in February, he served as the manager for the newly created Airport Integrated Control Center (AICC). Rocha has been involved in aviation industry for 20 years and served as the airport operations manager for San Antonio International Airport since 2007.
