Kansai Airport Back to Business as Usual 17 Days After Typhoon

Nearly all scheduled flights resumed on Sept. 21 at Kansai International Airport, 17 days after a powerful typhoon paralyzed the airport and flooded Terminal 1, which was almost fully back in business as well.

Kansai Airports, operator of the airport, said 469 international and domestic flights departing and arriving at the airport were scheduled to resume on the runways at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, accounting for 95 percent of the passenger flight schedule.
