OH: CMH Rethinking Car-Rental Facility Plan Given Rise of Uber

Uber, Lyft and other car services are prompting John Glenn Columbus International Airport to rethink the need for a new rental car facility that was scheduled to break ground this fall. plans for the new rental car facility and new terminal are being delayed while more money is spent on studies and construction.

The rise of car services such as Uber is causing John Glenn Columbus International Airport to reconsider plans for a new building for rental car companies.

Work on the $150 million building, between the inbound and outbound lanes for the terminal, was scheduled to begin this fall and be completed by late 2020.
