IL: Whiteside Airport Board Willing to Pony Up $100,000 to Attract Aviation Event
June 19, 2018
ROCK FALLS – Whiteside County Airport Board members want to put $100,000 on the table to attract a major fly-in next year that they hope will put the airport on the map.
The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, representing the largest aviation community in the world, usually organizes four 2-day events across the nation each year, each of which draws hundreds of aircraft. Next year, though, it will have only two big events, marking its 80th anniversary.
