GA: Airline Claims Political Anonymity Right as Paulding Airport Appeal Hearing Nears
April 24, 2018
Delta Airlines is telling state appeals court judges it and anyone else have the right to make anonymous political appeals “without fear of harassment.”
The company last week filed an amicus “friend of the court” brief with the Georgia Court of Appeals less than two weeks before the court was to hear oral arguments in a case involving the director of a nonprofit group opposing Paulding airport commercialization.
The director, Chip Lake, is appealing a Paulding Superior Court’s September 2017 order that he testify about the source of funding and information which fueled efforts to halt commercial passenger airline service at Paulding’s airport. The Georgia Court of Appeals has placed it on its May 1 docket.
