The Draughon-Miller Central Texas Regional Airport was named General Aviation Airport of the Year at last week’s Texas Aviation Conference in Galveston.
The award is presented on behalf of the Texas Department of Transportation to the airport that best meets the needs of its users and the area it serves.
“We’re still kind of in shock,” Airport Director Sharon Rostovich said Tuesday. “You’re selected among all the airports in Texas. There are some amazing airports out there, so to be recognized was such an honor.”
