TX: Former Brownsville Airport Worker Alleges Discrimination

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (AP) — A former Brownsville South Padre Island Airport employee is alleging in a lawsuit against the city of Brownsville, Texas that a former city manager tried to make him wear a tag identifying himself as Indian.

The Brownsville Herald reports that Sesha Sai Vorrey sued the city last year, alleging that officials discriminated against him because he is from India. Vorrey was fired in February 2017 after airport officials accused him of forging a signature on his I-129 Visa, which allows non-citizens to work in the U.S.
