MI: Lansing Airport Urges Support for Renewal of Service to Washington, D.C.

LANSING — The Capital Region International Airport is asking for help from the public to keep its daily flights to Washington, D.C. 

The airport is urging local residents to write letters in support of American Airlines’ bid to continue service between the Lansing airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. 

American has filed an application with the Federal Aviation Administration and U.S. Department of Transportation to extend a slot exemption at Reagan National Airport that allows it to operate its route from Lansing. A slot is the right to take off or land at an airport where operations are limited.
