IL: Living, Flying Aircraft Museum Lands at Kankakee Airport

Fifi, one of only two flying B-29 Superfortresses in the world, will be on display at the Greater Kankakee Airport from Wednesday through Sunday.

The plane will be one of four World War II vintage aircraft visiting the airport as part of the Commemorative Air Force. A C-45 Expeditor cargo plane with British markings; a T-6 Texan advanced trainer and a PT-13 Stearman personal trainer also will be on display. The planes can be seen from noon to 5 p.m. daily.
