Washington, D.C., December 3, 2014 – Beacon Management Group is pleased to announce that Scott Foose will join the aviation consulting firm as Vice President-Aviation Operations.
Captain Foose comes to Beacon from the Regional Airline Association where he was the Senior Vice President-Operations and Safety representing North American regional airlines in Washington, D.C. He was the association’s senior advisor for industry affairs responsible for working with key officials at the Federal Aviation Administration, Government Accountability Office, National Transportation Safety Board and aviation stakeholder organizations on a wide variety of public policy issues.
Before joining RAA, Foose was with Allegheny Airlines for 21 years, holding senior management positions in the airline’s flight operations and corporate safety departments. During his tenure he was a line pilot, pilots’ association officer, check airman, and held positions as the Chief Pilot, Director of Flight Standards, and Director of Safety and Regulatory Compliance.
Scott’s experience in commercial air carrier operations, and subsequent work on aviation policy issues in Washington gives him an insightful perspective of the critical issues facing the air transportation industry and service providers today. “Through Beacon’s long standing relationship with the FAA, Scott will be assisting the agency with NextGen communications and outreach. We are proud to have him join our team of professionals.” said Chief Operating Officer Paul Kelleher.
