XCED Aviation Services LLC, a creditor for various ground handling equipment for bankrupt interisland carrier Island Air, has filed a motion to lift the automatic stay in order to retrieve its equipment.
The creditor filed the motion on Dec. 6 and a hearing was set for Jan. 3. However, the date has been moved to Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., according to a more recent court filing.
XCED had a 12-month leasing contract with Island Air that began in June and provided the carrier with equipment such as baggage tractors and belt loaders. The creditor said Island Air failed to pay its December payments, which totaled $15,507.
