COBUS Industries GmbH at GSE Expo Europe is digitally presenting its brand-new fuel-cell bus COBUS HYDRA, the first hydrogen-driven airport bus. With its short refilling time and extended range, this fuel cell-powered airport bus offers an overall sustainable and state-of-the-art solution.
Fueled by hydrogen, the new apron bus is named after the star constellation of the powerful water-snake Hydra derived from Greek mythology. The digital presentation of the bus will highlight the convincing features -- a refilling time of less than 9 minutes and an extended range of up to 400 kilometers.
The newest member of the company's innovative product portfolio is completely developed in-house and based on the proven e.COBUS 3000 as well as on a hydrogen-driven bus of the COBUS factory and shareholder CaetanoBUS. Customers will also get the possibility to convert their existing fleet into sustainable, hydrogen-powered buses providing low noise and low emissions. As fuel cells are an efficient conversion technology and as hydrogen is a clean energy carrier, the COBUS HYDRA will support the EU's strategy for transforming its airports to meet environmental challenges to become fully carbon-free.
