WASHINGTON D.C., February 21, 2012 - The O'Hare Modernization Program (OMP) was cited as an example of a major infrastructure project that was able to complete most of its work ahead of schedule and under budget, in a policy paper released today by the Eno Center for Transportation.

The 20-page paper, Lessons Learned From the Chicago O'Hare Modernization Program, is the result of a daylong workshop held in Chicago on October 27, 2011. More than 70 attendees from across the country attended the event in order to learn from the OMP's success.

The paper, authored by Paul Lewis, Eno's Policy and Strategic Finance Analyst, includes a detailed account of the workshop's proceedings, as well as the history of the OMP, infrastructure planning, construction and operation, and first-hand accounts from those making the project happen.
