The Center for Digital Government (CDG) has awarded the Naples Airport Authority (NAA), with a 2023 Government Experience Project Award, recognizing its achievement for creating an automated paging system for airport customers.
The program was developed in-house by Anthony Gamboa, Senior Information Systems Manager for the Naples Airport Authority. By developing the system internally, the airport will save approximately $10,000 per month compared to existing available systems.
“Developing this system internally not only resulted in a financial savings for the NAA, but helps to more seamlessly connect pilots and passengers,” says Byron Gray, NAA Director of FBO Services. “The paging system truly enhances the airport’s goal to deliver an excellent experience to our pilots and passengers.”
The CDG is a national research and advisory institute focused on technology policy and best practices in state and local government. This year’s awards went to states, cities, counties, and special districts which enhanced their digital solutions, making it easier for citizens to do business with their government.
