Inaugural MKE Corporate Recognition Program Acknowledges Fiserv Commitment to Milwaukee

Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele and Fiserv President and CEO Jeffery W. Yabuki stressed the importance of community as they kicked off a new Corporate Recognition Program at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) this morning.

Fiserv, Inc. was announced as the first-ever participant in the MKE Corporate Recognition Program. The program honors one major employer each quarter, and employees of the selected corporate partner receive valuable discounts on parking, shopping and dining at MKE during the quarter. Other employers will be honored in future quarters.

“This is our way of providing support and recognition to the major employers that anchor our community,” County Executive Abele said. “Fiserv plays a major role in Milwaukee County and beyond. We value their commitment to making our community a better place to live and work, and their decision to serve as the naming rights sponsor of the new Fiserv Forum. These commitments represent significant investments in Milwaukee County, and we are pleased to offer this recognition as our token of appreciation for choosing MKE.”

In his remarks, Fiserv President and CEO Yabuki noted the importance of Milwaukee to Fiserv and the company’s connection to the community. As the inaugural recipient of the MKE Corporate Recognition Program, Fiserv is committed to helping elevate engagement in the community and further expanding its social impact in the areas of financial literacy, education, environmental stewardship, and health and wellness. In 2019, Fiserv clients and associates are creating 35,000 #movetheworldmoments, giving back to move communities forward in honor of the company’s 35 years of leadership in fintech.

County Executive Abele also stressed that local employers of all sizes should choose MKE to help support the local economy. “Wisconsin travelers using Chicago airports contribute hundreds of jobs and more than $200 million annually to the Illinois economy,” he added. “We need these travelers to fly from MKE instead to help us get more airlines and more flights.”
