Relief efforts seek volunteer pilots with aircraft, donations and supplies for the Abacos.

Florida-based airline, Air Unlimited, announces its latest relief efforts to support the Abaco Islands, following Hurricane Dorian. The airline has regularly flown travelers to the Abaco Islands for more than five years. Now, these commuter flights have been replaced by humanitarian missions, which have transported doctors, skilled personnel, and more than 50,000 pounds of supplies to the Abacos since Sept. 4. The team has also brought back several U.S. Citizens and medical evacuees.

Air Unlimited is spearheading a general aviation fleet, where volunteer pilots can utilize the Air Unlimited hangar as a launch point and command center for organizing a variety of flight missions. This command center is being staffed by U.S. Florida House of Representative, Scott Plakon, among others.

The airline is seeking volunteer pilots who can donate their aircraft for missions to the Abacos. Air Unlimited will pay fuel costs, facilitate paperwork and load donated supplies onto the aircraft for free.
