Spirit Airlines Heads to Fort Myers and Tampa From MHT

Nov. 16, 2021

Nov. 15—Spirit Airlines will launch two new nonstop destinations out of Manchester-Boston Regional Airport this week.

The routes will go to Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers four times weekly and Tampa International Airport (TPA) three times per week, according to a news release.

Service to Fort Myers will begin Wednesday and Tampa on Thursday.

"These flights also come just before the busy holiday travel season after a year when many people were unable to visit their loved ones," Airport Director Ted Kitchens said in a statement.

Spirit launched out of MHT last month with flights to Fort Lauderdale and Orlando.

The departure time for the daily Fort Lauderdale flight will change from 8:10 a.m. to 6:10 a.m. The earlier time will allow passengers to connect to at least 14 international flights that take off in the late morning, according to a news release.

Destinations include Cancun, Mexico and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Spirit will add a fifth destination, Myrtle Beach, S.C., on April 20.
